Depart Shigatse through the vast, undulating arid plateau landscape via Tingri. Cross the Gyatso La Pass and enter the Everest National Nature Reserve. Arrive at Everest Base Camp (5,200m) to stand in awe before the majestic north face of Mount Everest at sunset. Later, transfer to the tranquil Basong Village for a restful overnight stay. Depart Basong Village and traverse the wild, pristine Shishapangma Nature Reserve, offering expansive vistas of the untamed wilderness. Begin the sacred Mount Kailash circumambulation! Set out from Darchen; drive the first 6km to Sarshung to conserve energy, then embark on a lightweight 14km trek along the glacial valley. Savor the overwhelming presence of the holy mountain's west and north faces before arriving at Dirapuk Monastery for an awe-inspiring view of Kailash's north wall. (Altitude: 4,670m - 4,850m)

The most challenging and spiritually profound day of the Kora! Trek upward through high alpine scree, crossing the prayer-flag strewn Drolma La Pass (5,630m), the highest point of the pilgrimage. Descend past the emerald Gauri Kund (Lake of Compassion) and follow the lush river valley to the tranquil Dzultripuk Monastery. (Altitude: 4,850m - 5,630m - 4,750m)

Conclude the final 7km gentle trek out of the gorge, meeting your vehicle for the last 4km drive back to Darchen to celebrate the completion of the sacred Kailash Kora. Immerse yourself in Zanda's geological wonders, exploring the surreal, wind-sculpted towers of the Zanda Clay Forest. Venture into the dramatic cliffside ruins of the thousand-year-old Guge Kingdom, discovering faded royal murals, cave dwellings, and fortresses echoing ancient Himalayan civilization. Set out from Saga, tracing the vast northern Himalayan valleys with distant views of Lake Pelku Tso and glaciated ranges. Enjoy the sweeping plateau vistas before arriving back in Shigatse, checking in to an oxygen-equipped hotel for a comforting recovery. (Altitude: 4,700m - 4,590m - 3,836m)

Drive north from Shigatse past the magnificent Mount Jiegongri (5,200m) into the remote Qiangtang Northern Grasslands. Arrive at Seling Tso (4,530m), the largest inland lake in Tibet. Marvel at the sapphire waters meeting the vast uninhabited plains, arriving in Baingoin County by dusk. (Altitude: 3,836m - 5,200m - 4,530m - 4,700m)

Depart Baingoin for Lake Namtso (4,718m). Stroll around the limestone crags of the sacred Tashi Peninsula, watching cobalt waves lap under fluttering prayer flags. Cross Nagenla Pass (5,190m) with sweeping views of the snow-clad Nyenchen Tanglha peak (7,162m), returning triumphantly to Lhasa. (Altitude: 4,700m - 4,718m - 5,190m - 3,650m)
